The 20 best Japanese restaurants in Australia
Koto has been recognised by Time Out as one of the 20 best Japanese restaurants in Australia, placing our Canberra dining experience alongside some of the country’s leading Japanese restaurants.
Located in the heart of Canberra’s Parliamentary Triangle, Koto was recognised for its approach to Japanese dining and its focus on locally sourced produce, simplicity and quality.
They also note Executive Head Chef Shinya Nakano’s experience at Melbourne’s two-hatted Kisumé, as well as the kaiseki influence behind Koto’s dining experience. From our tasting menus to à la carte dishes, Time Out praised the way fresh ingredients and refined presentation remain at the centre of the experience.
The feature also singled out one of Koto’s desserts, the Lychee Pavlova, with lychee and matcha meringue and kabosu jelly.
We’re delighted to see Koto included among some of Australia’s leading Japanese restaurants and to have Canberra represented on the national dining stage.
